Thyme for Weeding

The sun was shining the other day, so I told the lady I'd help her do a little weeding. I checked out the area and found the spot where we should start.

I find that she works best under my guidance because she is apt to make mistakes, like here, where she is about to pull up a thyme plant instead of the obvious weed right next to it!

I decide to keep track of the thyme, er...time, and let the lady play in the dirt. I'm going to have the lady move this sundial as too much shade defeats the whole purpose!

When I decide that we have done enough weeding for the afternoon, I walk over to let her know that she can take a break, but advising her that she still has a lot of work left to do.

She thanks me for my benevolence with a nice head scratch. Those gloves tickle.
Hey, lady. I just noticed something. In this photo you look like you have "man-hands." Heh, heh.

Elvis was his usual helpful self.

You did good on gardening tips and help your Mom. We larfed at her hands too - they look kind of strange in those flesh coloured gloves. Elvis likes taking it easy huh?

You are a great nice kid!

Mr Black, it is good that the mommas think we are "helping" them, and hence will listen to our directions.
ps: it is also pretty good when they come out and let us help them, well because it is fun! :)

How fortunate your lady is to have you to help and guide her, Mr. Black! In Japan, there is an expression "borrowing the cat's paw" which you use when you're very busy!

Dear Mr. Black,
We are extremely impressed with your gardening skills and it is a good thing the Lady had you round for direction. Tiger has been after me to get going in the garden -- he is ready for me to get the catnip out in the pots! I've promised him that as soon as I'm finished with my chapter, I'll get to it.
("Man Hands!" Ha!)

I can't wait until I can get out there and get my paws dirty!! I like to help with the fertilizing and poop in the tomato bed but the PM doesn't appreciate my efforts.

She is planning her new herb garden and I can't wait to use the facilities in there among the mints.

Elvis and Shade should be work buddies, they share the same code of conduct.

We'd love to help our mom with gardening, but she makes us watch out the window, so we can understand how Elvis feels!

P.S. Beautiful garden - and great photos of you too.

Wowie! Mr. Black, you averted a near catastrophe with the thyme. But you know that old saying: Thyme flies when you're having fun.

Mr. Black, we had no idea that you are so talented. Not only are you an expert on all things gardening, you are a great snoopervisor as well! Elvis has the right idea, by the way:)

Good job, Mr. Black! Your human mom couldn't have done it without you.

Mr. Black you are a very good & focussed helper! Do you do consulting?

Elvis was just dreaming about gardening, which is just a tiresome event ... Naps required after naps!

You are a good supervisor Mr. Black! It's nice to give the workers a break every once in a while.

Elvis you need to talk your Pawparrazzi about bad angles. Mommy loves Thyme, Rosemary, and Sage, but not Parsely. Oh yeah and the sundial in the shade is just too funny.
