Not a happy camper. |
I've been forced to take medicine for the past two weeks. Today (just a few minutes ago) was the last dose. It was some liquid called, "Orbax," and I had to have 1.5 ml put in my mouth via a syringe twice a day. I lost a lot of trust in the lady, I can tell you that. It got so that if she even got up from her chair, I went and hid under the bed. If she looked at me, I ran away. She had to be very, very sneaky. I was the mouse in this little game, and I'm sorry to say that I got caught. Every day. For fourteen days.
She said she felt sorry for having to grab me, and I know that she was speaking the truth. Which is why I didn't bite her. Oh, I definitely would try to either run or wiggle away, but if she had a firm grip on me (okay, she sort of sat on me....[oh, the humiliation]) I would let her open my mouth (okay, I would clench my teeth as hard as I could, but she knew some sort of trick to open my mouth without hurting me), and then she gave me that medicine. It wasn't bad tasting, but I don't like being held down against my will. It was scary. She did praise me afterward ("You are SUCH a good boy, Mr. Black! I'm SO proud of you!")...I'm not some baby, but, I still appreciated the kind words. I did glare at her a lot (see photo above). And, I ignored her when she tried to talk to me.
I'm ignoring you. Get it?! |
I am feeling much better. My urine output is normal. That "other" output is normal. I like my new food. So, things are looking up for me! No more medicine, la la la la la.

Ah poor Mr Black and poor mommy! I am glad your medicine is done and you are back to normal. As a "Mommy" to 4 beautiful kitties I know how she feels. I hope you stop ignoring her soon after all she made you better. Stay healthy Mr Black! And give your mom a kiss to show her you are not made at her. ;)

Mad not made hehehe
Yo Buddy! I run on general principle because every time I see her make a beeline for me I think she's gonna scoop me up and shove me in that PTU. Humans are just the WORST. Do you think if we got together, we could learn to open cans?
Oh you poor thing! Mr. Black we know how it is. Lately all of us kitties have been ditching our Mommy. She is after us! Glad your ordeal is all over!
Your poor thing, at least you are feeling better. Skipper knows how you feel. :)
I'm glad you're feeling better, Mr. Black! I've had to take pills daily for what seems like forever, so I am kind of used to it - although I still don't like it much!
That's a hard one, isn;t it? When you know you have to take that medicine but you really don;t want to. Still, we are delighted to hear that you are feeling much better all around!
Purrs,

We're glad to hear that you're feeling better, Mr. Black. Ashton just finished two weeks of Orbax, and she has the same opinion of both Orbax and hte head peep as a result. We think you both deserve lots of extra treats for all of the indignity.
you poor baby! So glad you are getting better and the medicine has stopped. My Angel Bobo used to have to have the same medicine and he HATED IT! I used to have to wrap him in a towel to give it to him. Hopefully that medicine is loooong behind you!
xoxo

Aw, Mr. Black, I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I should teach that head weaving trick so that you never have to have liquid medicine again!
My left "anal gland" remove few years ago, and I know that feeling~
We are wishing that you will never have to take medicine anymore~!
Poor sweetheart! I'm glad you're doing better and are done with the meds! Hope you dont stay mad at your mom for long!

I hope the medicine made you feel all better!
Hugs, Noodle
Oh, Mr. B... we are so sorry to hear you've been dosed for two whole weeks! Sounds like you're on the upswing though. I would imagine your human is going to have to go to some great measures to regain your trust. I suggest she start with some tasty salmon.
