Mouse-man
When I was an outside cat I had no interest in cat toys. Why would I? The world was my oyster (oysters...bleh!). I hunted many mice and gophers, chased leaves, and stalked trailing vines. Now that I am an indoor cat, I find that I enjoy toys. I started out with a large gray mouse, but I really prefer the tiny fur mice that come in very unmouse-like fluorescent colors. I play with them a lot (when I'm not sleeping). I'm also on a diet.

I heard once that cats tend to have favorite colors, so I tested it out. Star much prefers black mice to any other color. Leo likes the bright ones. Seems you have a fondness for neon!

Nicki's favourite squeaky mouse is green, so we, too have our preferred colours.
We love wand toys--feathered sticks! :-)
I currently have a real mouse in my house. You can come on over and play with that one if you like.

Oh geeeesh - is that all the humans know how to do - put us cats on diets? I'm on one too.
Being an indoor cat can be fun, Mr. Black. Toys are only one bonus. I know that once I got inside, I've never wanted to leave again!
We does not plays with the mice because our hairy slobbery sisters EATS them! So we dont get very many. BUT we does like to plays with the wand toys! Even Kozmo who likes to plays with real mice.

Mr. Black, I am the same way. When I first became an inside cat I would look at the cat toys and say "eh, I had real mousies, why would I want to mess with a fake one?" But now, I love the fake mousies! I love tossing them in the air!!

Well that's great you've been able to keep busy with some toys inside. They might not be the real thing but you can keep playing and playing!

oh, King Mr. Black, I am so sorrys that you lost your outdoor access. wut happened? did The Human's thumb fall off? I sometimes have nightmares that this will happen to Mrs. W. and I'll be stuck inside too, but so far, so good.
I will bring you a Neko Fly. On those rare moments when I am forced to stay in wif the humans, this makes life most bearable. Also, fun. best damn toy eva.

I have been an indoor cat for my whole life, but I can understand things out of the window is really tempting to us.
My outdoor time was only the first 10 weeks or so of my life. Although I sure like to look outside I think it's okay being indoors. The Human has a lot of stuffs for me to play with and climb on--even though this week she has been a real bore. I think in time you'll be fine.
Now the ::shhhhhh:: diet.....well, that's another whole ball of wax, especially since you can't supplement with freshly caught outdoor critters. Toy mice are fun, but not tasty.

Mr. Black'm glad you're adapting to being an indoor cat, playing with colored mice is very entertaining.
True intelligence lies in finding solutions to problems. Now that you are no longer an outdoor cat, you have of course found alternative entertainment. Hurray!

I LOVE your fine, Kingly and Stately look, Mr. Black! But I too am on a sort-of diet. Mom's knocked back the guilty induced treats while she was gone so much while brother was in the hospital so long. xoxox
