I was minding my own business, relaxing in the late afternoon sun while keeping an eye on the hens and rooster (one my favorite pastimes). Suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere, the lady came near me with the camera. As is my wont in this type of situation, I prepared to high-tail it outta there. Then I noticed she seemed to be interested in photographing something other than me. Now, it is well-documented that I do not like being photographed, but what I like even less is attention being directed anyplace other than on me. So, I did what I had to do--I made a very risky move in a bid for the attention to which I am so very much entitled.

Hahaha! Now, isn't that just a Cat's way? :-D
Of the four cats our mom's shared her life with over the past 11 or so years, only angel Chumley loved the camera and would pose for it.
Ah, the Notice Me tail! Looks like it worked.
Yes, as KLounge suggested, the 'Notice Me' Tail placement is critical. As well as the 'Hork in your shoes' technique for the diverted attention infraction.

Whoa! That WAS a risky move! I would never try that around my human. Binga and I have had toes or tails stepped on more than once.
I love my bird tv, but you're outside and can see your bird TV live, Mr. Black.

Gives a whole new meaning to tail between the legs!!! Nice one :)
Hmm, doesn't like flashy boxes, doesn't like being ignored. Yep, you're doing everything right! Purrs...
I hate to be ignored too.
First, you have HENS??? How lucky is that?
Second, about those garden clogs? They are very fun to bite. I bit up my mom's.
Oh!! Very cute move, I love the tail action.
And that birdy!! Eieeww!! My eyes are bigger again!!
Good job, Mr. Black, to make sure you were not ignored!!
We hate the pawparazzi too, UNLESS they're photographing sumthing else. Then it's a horse of a different color. HaHaMeow!
My cat doesn't like to be photographed either. And that's a cool shot of the hummingbird.
Whoa!!! You are living on the edge!!!

Oh, King Mr. Black--Just where were the Royal BodyGuards when you pulled that ridiculously dangerous stunt???
I am beyond grateful for your, uh, sincerity in congratulating OUR California Team that won that match-up back East. Glad you enjoyed it so much!
By the way,
reply to your comment on my blog,
I am looking at Michico's finger under the bed sheet and that finger is moving and tempting me~
I always love chasing her finger and have a great catch!
What! She used the flashy box for something else other than you? That is outrageous!
We do exactly the same to our mum when she dares take pictures that aren;t of ut.
Oh how scary to put your rpyal tail where the Pawparazzi could SEE it...step on it or otherwise invoke your outrage?
from the looks of the last photo to me it appears that she is getting closer!
Oh My Dog, a Hummingbird, how fantastic is that? We don't see those in the UK. :( xx00xx
Oh we popped by to say Hi, from one of our kittie furiends. Wez a cat and dog duo..MOL xxx
Mollie and Alfie
MOL, very cat of you!
Have you ever gotten CLOSE to those hens??! Have you ever JUMPED on one??! Wow.
Me purrsonally has purrfected the close my eyes technique. If yous notices, in almost all the shots Mommy has of mes, my eyes is closed.
Kisses
Nellie
Did your royal tailio get stepped on. King Mr. Black? Because, you know, OFF WITH HER HEAD! You can say that now, you really can.
Nice shoes. And Wow, a picture of a hummingbird. Mr. Black you are looking good in that picture. Glad you decided to pose for us. Happy Halloween to all of you. Take care.
Mr. Blak eu também ficaria zangado. Nossa humana gostaria de tirar uma foto de um beija flor, mas é muito difícil.
