Oh, deer.

The lady is grumbling a lot because deer are coming into the garden at night and destroying our plants. I patrol the area in the daytime and I'm sure that my similarity to a panther frightens them away.

But at night, when I am inside for my safety, they have a party. Look what they did:
Cyclamen before deer...

...and after deer.

Fortunately, the lady clipped this rose and put it in a vase.  That very night...

...the deer showed up and ate most of the leaves. Chicken-wire had to be put around the rose.

I'm just taking a little break. I can't be on patrol every minute. Sheesh!

It's obvious those deer are only coming around when you're stuck inside. They must be terrified of you.

Mr. Black you are great patrolling your garden. Those vishus deer know no decorum to eat those pretty flowers at night.

Maybe life-size pictures of you strategically placed would scare them away at night, too!

Do be careful out there, Mr. B. You never know when a vishus deer may appear!

Your Majesty: A stately record of your coronation has been posted -- as you know, it took place a little early ;-)

Come by and relive the moment you became King Mr. Black. No Vishus Deer will DARE enter the Royal Gardens NOW!!

Goodness, you'd think the scent you scatter around all day would make them stay away at night!
Tell your mom to try asking for swept up hair at a beauty parlor or barber shop and to scatter it around the boarders. Strong human smells sometimes works

You are one adorable black cat. My first cat was an all black Siamese. (Mom was but Satchmo just talked a lot.) Thus, I adore black cats.

Deer .. I get them at our beach place. I don't have many plants. Azaleas and Rhodys seem to last. Lilacs, which I love, are wired up and they get the leaves anyway.

You keep patroling though.

What a good patroler you are Mr. Black. You sure are a handsome dude and congrats on being a member of the Spitty Royal family. We need to get our 'Black' into that family. Hope all have a great day.

Those naughty deer. We are having a few problems with our local deer too because of the 'time of year' they are pretty aggressive and feisty. FAZ

Oh Mr. Black! I was so happy to have attended your Coronation. No vishus deer will EVER intrude your garden again or you will have them for supper!

Wow - they are really going at the plants! We are in woods so not so many deer here. God luck on the patrol!

HORRIBLENESS!!! How dare those deer eat your greenery? How about you poop all over...maybe that will drive them off.

Dear Michico and Adan--
No apologies necessary! It was just that I figured if it took me 6 times to try and comment because of that too blurry and almost indecipherable verification thing, other people must be having the same problem and maybe were not leaving you comments. I think your blog should have more comments!
